Dylan Cave is Collections Development Manager at the BFI National Archive and led the team that delivered the selection of BFI videotapes for the Heritage 22 mass digitisation project. He leads in delivering procedures for acquiring and appraising moving image in the national collection.
As a curator in the fiction curatorial team from 2006 to 2016, Dylan was responsible for the acquisition of contemporary British features, short films and music videos, and co-programmed the ‘Projecting the Archive’ strand at the BFI Southbank. He has written for Sight & Sound, the British Council and preservation journals The Moving Image and Journal of Film Preservation.
