About me
Michael Marlatt is a Canadian disabled film archivist, archival accessibility consultant, and York University PhD candidate whose work focuses on disability inclusion in the audio/visual archival profession. He has worked on projects for the Toronto International Film Festival, CFMDC, York University, the Disability Screen Office, and Archive/Counter-Archive.
He serves on various committees for archival professional organizations including the AMIA and ACA. In 2022, Michael co-founded the AMIA Accessibility Committee. Michael has presented at various industry leading conferences on moving image archival disability advocacy alongside written publications for The Moving Image, Journal of Film Preservation, Archival Outlook with a chapter in the upcoming book Preserving Disability: Disability and the Archival Profession.
